Players, please be informed that payment time for the Spark Open 2020 registrations are from 8:00 am and matches to be started from 9 am, 14th February 2020.
A strict lunch break and prayer time from 12 pm to 1 Pm. Please be on time and follow the organizers instructions.
Spark Badminton – Kuwait was conceptualized and made into a reality by four badminton enthusiasts in May 2017 at Kuwait. Spark is one of the biggest badminton facility in the middle-east to host 14 Courts for daily training and practice sessions.
Spark Academy: A 500 Square Meter fully air-conditioned facility dedicated for badminton coaching comprising of 4 courts and separate area for fitness sessions. This facility is for aspiring young badminton players primarily focusing on budding talents who has a genuine inclination towards badminton. Currently the coaching is conducted in two categories, Basic and Advanced. Our proven system ensures rapid progress and lots of fun. We have a strong track record of developing the best young players in Kuwait. Only coaches who have met our strict standards are selected and are typically former International Youth Players who are passionate about developing others and committed to your satisfaction.
Spark Courts: A 1200 Square Meter fully air-conditioned facility with Ten Badminton Courts has an envious member strength of more than 500 members from all over Kuwait. We occasionally host Intra Tournaments for members and the prestigious open tournament known as Spark Open.
Vision & Mission
The lack of a professional training facility in Kuwait has spurred into the formation of Spark Badminton. Our vision is to mould young players with the right fitness, technique and organised coaching to become a complete badminton player which will in turn reflect in their game and also a stepping stone towards becoming a professional player!
Our mission is to generate a bunch of Badminton talents who will be undisputable in their game and excel in their respective categories in Kuwait and to provide opportunities for them to be an international player.
Basic Level – Training
The basic level training for kids from the age of six is conducted at Spark arena from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM daily except on Fridays. The kids are trained in the basics of the game like Badminton 101, Basic strokes, Footwork and Stroke combination, General physical conditioning, Basic court play rules etc.. From time to time these kids are evaluated and then according to their caliber they are promoted to the Intermediate Level.
Intermediate Level – Training
The intermediate level training for kids is conducted at Spark arena from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM daily except on Fridays. This is a slightly advance version of Basic Level. Kids are evaluated and then according to their caliber they are promoted to the Advanced Level.
Advanced Level – Training
The Advance coaching is conducted from 7:15 PM to 9:00 PM daily except on Fridays. The primary focus is on Application of basic footwork and strokes, Intensive physical conditioning, Court play/mastery, Game strategies and close monitoring of each players technique and its improvement.
Weekend – Training
We have stated a new bact h for weekend training. All the 3 levels of training is available during the weekend batch which starts from 8:00 Am to 10:00 Am on Friday’s and Saturday’s.
Transportation (Basic Level)
Currently the academy provides transportation for the Basic Level from the three major cities in Kuwait.
- Jleeb Al Shuyokh – Pick Up by 5.30 PM
- Al Riggae – Pick Up by 5.30 PM
- Al Salmiya – Pick Up by 5.15 PM
The pride of Spark Badminton.. The Spark Arena, comprising of 14 Badminton courts.! The Biggest, dedicated Badminton facility in Kuwait & Middleast.!! Sprawling over a total of 1700 square meters, the best meeting place for the badminton enthusiasts to play and have fun from 6 PM to 10 PM. The courts are allocated for a group of 8 people on an hourly basis for a month. Come along and meet new people who also enjoy playing too! You may be new to the sport or you’ve been thinking about returning to badminton, get your racket and make your way down!
The club will remain closed on all Fridays.
